Mystery solved
So I did forget a wire. Ugh. I really wanted to test all the circuits before drywall went up, but the opportunity to do so got lost in a crush of scheduling.
Happily I overengineered the kitchenette wiring, putting the microwave on its own circuit because microwave+other high draw appliance can frequently trip breakers.
Instead of tearing up drywall, I just combined the microwave circuit with the rest of the kitchenette. Easy little fished cable run:

And the problem is sorted.
Until we want to make tea and popcorn at the same time, at least.
A mystery
I have a basement circuit that doesn’t work. Or doesn’t exist. Sort of.
There is wire from the first box on the circuit that appears to go back to the electrical panel. But it appears there is no breaker in the panel for this circuit.
Did I forget to land a wire in the panel? It’s hard for me to see how that would happen, as e dangling wire near the panel would be hard to miss. But I don’t have other ideas right now. Going to go after it with a tone and probe tomorrow.
Here’s hoping I don’t need to tear into that pretty new drywall…

Taping and mudding
Just one guy on the job, but he’s making good progress. Here’s here through Thursday of next week and we should be doing texture on Friday if all goes as scheduled.
